About ColorCove
ColorCove is a free library of printable coloring pages for kids, families, teachers and adults. It is run by Ahmad Ali. There are no accounts and no paywalls: you pick a page, download the PDF for your paper size and print it.
Why this site exists
Many coloring sites make you click through several pages, wait for pop-ups or guess which paper size you are getting. I wanted the opposite: every page has a large preview, a clear A4 and US Letter PDF, an option to color it online, and a way to combine many pages into one PDF so a teacher or parent can print a whole set at once.
How the art is made
ColorCove currently has 195 pages across 16 topics. They are made in two ways, and I want to be upfront about both:
- Code-drawn vector pages (108). Patterns, mandalas, Islamic geometric designs, alphabet letters, calendars and many simple holiday pages are drawn with code as clean vector outlines. Geometry-heavy designs come out symmetrical and precise this way.
- AI-assisted pages (87). Many scenes (animals, vehicles, unicorns, holiday scenes) start as an image made with an AI image-generation tool from a written description. Each image is cleaned up and traced into vector line art, then reviewed before it goes live.
Images that fail the review are not published, for example when they have broken or open outlines, cramped areas, garbled details, text errors, or anything that looks too close to a well-known character or brand. Some generated mandalas and geometric designs were rejected for this reason, and the code-drawn versions were kept.
What every page is checked for
- Clean, closed outlines so the tap-to-fill colorer and crayons both work.
- Line thickness and detail that suit the age group: bold and simple for ages 2–4, finer detail for older kids and adults.
- No copyrighted characters or brand logos. Vehicles are generic, not real models.
- Correct printing on A4 and US Letter with safe margins.
Every page is also published as a PNG, an SVG and two print-ready PDFs. Each topic has a one-file pack.
Who it is for
Parents looking for a quiet-time activity, teachers and homeschoolers who need themed pages for a lesson or a holiday, and adults who enjoy detailed patterns. Pages are tagged by age and difficulty so you can find the right level quickly.
Using the pages
All pages are free for personal, family, classroom and therapy use. See the license for details. Feedback, page requests and corrections are very welcome on the contact page.
